About me
Daniel Grajewski brings over 20 years’ experience in the beverage industry to his role as the Sr. Director of Wine & Beverage at José Andrés Group, where he oversees the beverage programs for the group’s concepts in 9 different markets.
Working to foreshadow trends before they happen, Grajewski strives to have all JAG restaurants equally recognized for their beverage program from cocktails & spirits, to wine, to spirit-free drinks and everything in between.
Before joining the JAG, Grajewski held other director roles for hospitality groups such 50 Eggs, Hogsalt, Starr and Mina Group.
Grajewski began his career in the hospitality industry as a restaurant server, quickly advancing to the role of beverage manager and then, staying true to his passion for wine and exceptional service, as wine director. During his tenure as wine director at Mr. Stox Restaurant in Anaheim, Calif., Grajewski was responsible for maintaining a cellar of more than 15,000 bottles, and helped the restaurant achieve Wine Spectator’s esteemed Grand Award for its international wine list. Wanting to further expand his knowledge of the wine business, Grajewski’s next venture took him to Chambers & Chambers Wine Merchants, a prominent wine distributor in California, where he was responsible for selling a portfolio of wines from around the world, an invaluable experience adding to his depth as a sommelier.
Grajewski has long had a passion for wine and by age 27 attained his Advanced Sommelier Certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers, a diploma with the International Sommelier Guild, an Advanced Certificate with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and became a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators. In addition, he’s traveled extensively through both established and upcoming wine regions, including Burgundy, Cognac, Germany, Tuscany, Umbria, Priorat, Argentina and Chile and South Australia.
Grajewski enjoys spending his time with friends & family, finding new and exciting wines. Grajewski is a believer that all wine, no matter the cost, can only get better when being drunk with friends and loved ones.
